Two prominent figures in Clare GAA have announced their retirements from intercounty football.

Limerick midfielder John Galvin, who lined out for Clare county champions Cratloe in 2014, has brought an end to his 15 year career with the Shannonsiders.

It's expected the 34 will continue with Cratloe for the coming year.

Meanwhile the Clare Champion report that Ennistymons Laurence Healy has informed Clare boss Colm Collins that he won't be continuing with the county squad in 2015.

The 33 year old has enjoyed a nine year career with the Banner.

Cooraclare's Rory Donnelly is expected to make a decision on his future with the squad in February.

Elsewhere, there's been bad news for the Dublin hurlers as Alan Mc Crabbe has opted off the panel for the season ahead.

Staying with hurling and Donal O'Grady has been retained as Limerick captain for 2014 while Brendan Maher will continue as Tipperary captain.
