Feakle/Killanena have won their first ever Clare U21A Hurling title.
The east Clare combo produced a strong second half performance to beat reigning champions Inagh/Kilnamona by 0-16 to 1-10.
At half time it was the holders who had the slenderest of leads with David Mescall’s goal seeing them ahead by 1-7 to 0-9 having played against the breeze.
Led by a brilliant display from frees by Fiachra Donnellan and the tireless Cathal Noonan, Feakle/Killanena took control of the game to outscore their opponents by 0-7 to 0-3 in the second period to ensure victory.
There was late drama as Inagh/Kilnamona had a goal disallowed for a square ball infringement while a late 21 yard free from David Fitzgerald was cleared off the line.
