The new manager of the Clare and Munster hurling champions insists they go back to square one as they prepare for the new season.

Fergal Hegarty has been announced as Robbie Hogan’s successor in charge of Ballyea after helping coach the side to this years All Ireland Club Final.

The Kilnamona man is currently finalising his backroom team with Diarmuid O’Sullivan the only member of the outgoing set up to remain on.

Their 2017 season gets underway this weekend and Hegarty says it’s a level playing field once more.
