All-Ireland hurling champions Kilkenny are back in action this afternoon as Brian Cody's men begin their assault on the Leinster Championship.

Wexford are all that stand between Brian Cody's side and another provincial final.

Kilkenny start with 12 of last year's All-Ireland-winning side with Joey Holden taking the number 3 jersey.

Ger Aylward is in for the injured Richie Power while John Power is replaced by Walter Walsh.

2004 was the last time Wexford managed a win over the Cats but they have held their own at underage level in recent years.

However, Model boss, Liam Dunne doesn't think that will count for much come this afternoon.

Throw-in at Nowlan Park is at 2pm

Last year's beaten All-Ireland finalists, Tipperary, also begin their campaign this afternoon when they take on Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds.

It's the third successive season the sides have met in the Munster semi-final, with Limerick coming out on top for the last two years.

That throws-in at 4 o'clock.
