Lahinch Golf Club is celebrating having a first member winner of the South of Ireland championship for 56 years.
Overseas member Patrick Adler of the USA clinched the famous trophy with a 3 and 2 victory in the final.

Along the way to the title, Adler had also beaten fellow Lahinch member Jonathan Keane in the last 32.
Adler, who is a second cousin of Clare’s All Ireland winner Ryan Taylor, is the first Lahinch member since JD Smyth in 1968 to win the prestigious tournament on the home course
