Clare are off to winning start in the National Ladies Football League.
James Murrihys side had a 0-13 to 2-6 win over Sligo in this afternoons opener in Clarecastle.
The game was level inside the closing ten minutes before late scores from Catriona Callinan and Niamh O’Dea pushed Clare into a two point lead.
The Connacht side cut the gap to the minimum but the Banner held out to take the points.
