The Ballyclare Syndicate from Clare and Limerick were celebrating at Leopardstown today as Western Boy scored at a huge 12-1.
Ridden by David Casey, the four-year-old romped to a three and a half length win over Kylestyle and the favourite Daneking in the Thorntons Recycling Maiden Hurdle, putting smiles on Stephen and Sonia Murphy’s faces.
The winner was trainer by Pat Fahy, who saddles Morning Assembly in the Grade 1 Topaz Novice Chase at Leopardstown on Sunday.
