Line Up For Knockout Stages Of TUS Clare Senior Football Championship Completed

The line up for the knockout stages of the TUS Clare senior football championship is now complete.

Seven of the eight quarter-finalists are now known, while a local derby will unfold in the playoff round.

In Group One, Eire Óg completed three wins from three with victory over Lissycasey and will be seeded in the quarter-final draw.

It means Lissycasey enter the playoff round where a showdown with neighbours Kildysart awaits in two weeks time.

Kilmurry Ibrickane are also safely through to the last eight after they overcame a Kilmihil side who will now head for the relegation battle.

Group Two provided the most drama of the weekend, as St Breckan’s secured the seeded position on scoring difference, as their win over Corofin took their scoring tally in their last two games to 6-20.

Elsewhere in that group, Doora Barefield secured second place and passage straight to the quarter-finals, despite their loss to Kildysart.

Cratloe are the seeded team in the draw from Group Three, but the champions had to hold off a stern test from Doonbeg before claiming a two point win.

Miltown welcomed back former county captain Eoin Cleary to their line up and he found the net in their win over Ennistymon, which saw them finish in second spot.

The relegation series this year will see Doonbeg, Corofin and Kilmihil battle it out, with one of those three teams dropping out of the top tier for 2025.

In the intermediate championship, the quarter-final places went to Kilrush, the Banner, Naomh Eoin, Clondegad, Shannon Gaels, Wolfe Tones and Cooraclare
The last remaining spot will go to the winners of the playoff round between Coolmeen and O’Curry’s, while the relegation battle will be fought between Killimer, Ennistymon and Liscannor.
