The manager of the Lissycasey footballers admits it will be difficult to beat their nearest rivals, as they go head to head in the county championship this weekend.

The intra-parish clash of Lissycasey and Clondegad is one of the stand-out ties of Round 2 of the Clare Senior Football Championship.

The teams will go head to head at Cusack Park in a game that has been pushed back to Saturday evening.

Speaking ahead of the game, Lissycasey boss Barry Donnelly has admitted they could have a difficult time, and says they’ll be missing a number of players due to injury.

Meanwhile, Wolfe Tones have picked up their second win of this year's Clare Intermediate Championship.  They beat Clarecastle last evening, 2-12 to 0-8.

Elsewherer, Westmeath are looking for a new manager after the clubs refused to ratify the reappointment of Paul Bealin.
