There was heartbreak for Corofin and St Breckan’s yesterday as both sides suffered defeat in their respective All Ireland and Munster finals.

Corofin lost to Four Roads of Roscommon by 1-9 to 6 points while St Breckan’s suffered defeat at the hands of Gneeveguila by 1-11 to 0-7.

Corofin manger Ollie O’Loughlin told Clare FM that the scoreboard didn’t really reflect the closeness of the game.

The Clare side only trailed by two points with less than ten minutes remaining but could not grab a  goal that would have put them in front

Edel Keating felt the lack of a green flag  proved the Munster champion’s undoing:

St Breckan’s selector Greg O’Leary meanwhile had no complaints after his side were well beaten by the Kerry champions and  felt the best side on the day won.
