The first half was something of a slow burner with St Breckans going in ahead by 0-4 to 0-3.

Of the seven points scored in the opening period, just one of them came from play, through the boot of Eoin Rouine.

The neighbours clashed coming off the field following Barry Kelly’s short whistle, with three players shown yellow cards for their efforts.

One of them would prove costly for St Breckans early in the second half as former county star Joe McGann picked up a second yellow to end his involvement.

Ennistymon landed the first two points of the new period to edge back in front, but Jamie Stacks accuracy was key in the game being level at 0-7 each entering the final quarter.

Keelan Guyler and Paudie Considine added further scores for Ennistymon to see them open up a two point advantage, with Guyler notching his sixth of the contest to keep St Breckans at bay.
