Paul Madden’s Eire Óg side will return to the Semi-Finals of the Clare Senior Football Championship for a second successive campaign after a commanding Quarter-Final victory over Clondegad in Cusack Park, Ennis.

Goals in either half including a thirty-first minute penalty from County panelist Mark McInerney who contributed 2-03 to Eire Óg’s cause helped the champions well on their way to maintaining their perfect defence of Jack Daly thus far.

Gary Brennan led the charge for the Ballynacally outfit and would finish with a person tally of seven points from the edge of the square while being ably assisted by Morgan Garry, Bary Toner, Brandon O’Connell and Ryan Jennings who all kicked a point each.

However the calm and composure of the Champions would be the telling difference as the Townies tireless work rate throughout the pitch created the perfect launching pad for Captain Gavin Cooney and Oran Cahill to solidify an Eire Óg win as it finished in Cusack Park, Eire Óg 2-11 to Clondegad 0-11.
