SWIMMING:
there were mixed results for the Irish at the European Swimming Championship in Budapest today. Grainne Murphy won a silver medal in the womens 15 hundred metres freestyle, but Dubliner Barry Murphy came home last in the final of the mens 50 metres breaststoke.
