Darragh Leahy opened the scoring for the South-East Clare men just eight minutes into the the contest before Harvey Cullinan doubled Newmarket’s advantage from the penalty spot before the break.

A headed goal shortly after the restart for Raheny United put the minimum between the sides to ensure a nail biting second half, however a late strike from Aaron Rudd in the dying embers of the tie, secured Newmarket’s passage to the next stage of the competition.
