FAI Munster Junior Cup Semi-Final: Newmarket Celtic: 1 – Fairview Rangers: 0

Newmarket Celtic have reached provincial and national cup finals in the same season for the first time in the clubs history.

The South-East Clare men edged out Fairview Rangers of Limerick in the FAI Munster Junior Cup this afternoon.

In a contest that went down to the wire at Jackmon Park, Gearóid O’Brien’s 78th minute header was enough to see Newmarket prevail as worthy winners.

Paddy Purcell’s charges will be hoping to maintain their impressive cup form this season when they return to Jackmon Park to face St.Michael’s of Tipperary in the decider on April 29th.
