Quarter Final Spots To Be Filled This Evening In TUS Clare Senior Hurling Championship

The first two quarter-final spots in the 2024 TUS Clare senior hurling championship will be filled this evening.

Group Four will reach its conclusion with two derby ties as Sixmilebridge take on Newmarket and Crusheen face St Joseph’s Doora Barefield.

All four teams are still in contention to make the knockout stages, with Sixmilebridge in pole position ahead of the clash with their neighbours having won their opening two games.

Newmarket manager James Carrig says they will only be focused on getting the performance from their players to ensure they are in the mix to qualify.

Throw in this evening in Cusack Park for Sixmilebridge v Newmarket is at 6pm with commentary on Clare FM with PJ Ryan Oil, Sixmilebridge.

There are also two quarter-final spots up for grabs this evening in the TUS intermediate hurling championship.

Wolfe Tones will secure their progression if they avoid defeat against Bodyke in Kilkishen, while Killanena will be hoping to also progress if they beat Broadford in Whitegate

Both those games are set for 6pm starts.
