Senior championship games get greenlight for June

At least three county senior hurling championship games will definitely go ahead on June the 20th following last night’s county board meeting.

Sixmilebridge will play Cratloe, Kilmaley take on Clarecastle and Inagh Kilnamona against  Wolfe Tones will all go ahead as planned on the Sunday evening of Féile

A further meeting is due to be held later this week which will decide on the remaining fixtures at senior and intermediate level.

Meanwhile, the Cork under-21 hurlers have advanced to the semi-finals of this year’s Munster championship after a convincing 1-16 to 1-03 win over their Waterford counter-parts.

They will play Tipperary in the Munster semi final with Clare beginning their campaign against Limerick next month on the 14th of July.
