Strong Clare Side Striving For Promotion

The imposition of stricter COVID-19 measures in Northern Ireland is unlikely to impact the rest of Clare’s Allianz League campaign.

While fans are now banned from attending sporting events in the six counties, elite sport can still continue, including GAA League matches.

Clare are due to play both Fermanagh and Armagh in Ennis over the coming weekends, and currently the Fermanagh game is still scheduled to go ahead even though the Lake County have sought a postponement.

Meanwhile, it’s claimed the Clare footballers could still secure promotion into the top tier of the Allianz Football League, even though they’re still in the relegation dogfight.

Clare FM football analyst Rory Hickey says Clare have it in them to win both of their remaining matches, and that could be enough.
