It was a busy day of action in pre season GAA competition.

Kerry have been beaten in the McGrath Cup quarter finals – a youthful side went down 4-12 to 0-16 to IT Tralee. 
It's UCC next for Tralee, following their 4-16 to 3-9 win over Limerick. 
Cork were 1-14 to 0-12 winners over Tipperary in Clonmel to set up a semi final meeting with Waterford, who were 1-11 to 0-9 victors over Cork I-T. 

An injury time point from Emmet Ó Conghaile gave Dublin a one-point win over Laois in Portarlington in the O'Byrne Cup. 
The Dubs' semi final with Meath was already assured before today's game. 
The other semi will pit Kildare against DIT. 
The Lilywhites were 0-21 to 1-5 winners over UCD in Newbridge. 
DIT beat I-T Carlow 1-11 to 1-7. 
Elsewhere, second half goals from Lorcan Smyth and Kieran Martin helped Westmeath come from behind to beat Longford 2-11 to 0-10 in Ballymahon. 
Carlow beat Louth 3-8 to 1-12
Wexford were 2-15 to 2-11 winners against neighbours Wicklow. 
While Offaly finished their campaign with a 1-17 to 0-3 defeat of Maynooth University. 

In round 2 of the McKenna Cup, Donegal were comfortable 2-16 to 1-8 winners over Queen's in Ballybofey. 
While the other game in section B saw Fermanagh beat Derry 1-9 to 1-7. 
Down were 1-12 to 0-11 winners over Monaghan in Clones. 
Tyrone ran out 1-12 to 0-3 victorys over St. Mary's in Omagh. 
And in the other Section C encounter, it finished Armagh 2-11 Antrim 1-4

Galway's 0-13 to 1-9 win over Leitrim in Mohill has seen them earn a place in the FBD Insurance League final. 
Mayo just need a point from their next game with Roscommon to join the Tribesmen in that final – that's after their 0-15 to 0-6 win over I-T Sligo.

Antrim 1-22 DIT 2-12

Waterford set up a Crystal Cup meeting with Limerick by beating LIT 1-22 to 0-18.
